Role Description\n
We are seeking an experienced Dog Groomer for a part-time or full-time, on-site position at Doodle Daze in Summerville, SC.
\n
The groomer will be responsible for providing complete grooming services based on each dog's individual needs and the client's requested style. Services may include bathing, drying, brushing, de-shedding, clipping, hand scissoring, blending, styling, nail care, ear cleaning, and other routine grooming services.
\n
The groomer will assess each dog's coat and skin condition, safely handle dogs throughout the grooming process, recognize signs of stress or discomfort, and communicate any concerns when appropriate.
\n
Additional responsibilities include maintaining a clean and organized grooming station, properly caring for tools and equipment, following sanitation and safety procedures, and working collaboratively with the Doodle Daze team to provide an excellent experience for every pet and client.

Compensation & Benefits\n
Commission-based pay + tips
\n
Part-Time: Approximately $600–$1,000 per week
\n
Full-Time: Approximately $1,200–$1,600 per week
\n
Actual earnings may vary based on schedule, grooming volume, services performed, and tips.

Qualifications\n
- \n
- 2–3+ years of professional dog grooming experience preferred
- Strong clipping, hand-scissoring, blending, and finishing skills
- Experience grooming a variety of breeds, coat types, sizes, and styles
- Experience with specialty styles such as Asian Fusion is a plus
- Knowledge of safe animal handling and the ability to recognize signs of stress, discomfort, skin issues, or other concerns
- Ability to safely handle dogs of various sizes and temperaments
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more when necessary
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing consistent, high-quality grooms
- Good time-management skills and ability to work efficiently while maintaining grooming quality
- Reliable, professional, and comfortable working as part of a team
- Strong communication and customer-service skills
- Professional grooming education or certifications are a plus but not required with sufficient hands-on experience
- Commitment to maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe grooming environment
