*Candidates must live within 25 miles of the Washington, DC area.*

We are a rapidly growing leader in the outsourcing industry seeking an experienced Legal Billing Specialist to assist in the servicing of our growing client base. The candidate is expected to work a hybrid/remote schedule, and occasionally travel to NJ once a year for an annual meeting.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all client billing activities from initial entry, production of pre-bills and reviewing for accuracy to disbursing final invoices to clients
  • Process invoice edits, time and cost adjustments
  • Maintain documentation on client information, attorney preferences, and bill formats
  • Review set up to ensure compliance with rate agreements and outside counsel guidelines
  • Work with vendor and clients to setup electronic billing accounts as needed
  • Submit E-bills using various vendor sites and ensure successful transmission
  • Research and promptly respond to basic billing-related inquiries
  • Generate client account statements and follow up on unpaid balances

Qualifications:

  • Must have three years minimum of legal industry and billing experience to be considered
  • Must live within 25 miles of the Washington, DC area
  • Associates degree in Business or Accounting
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat; Bill4Time experience is a plus
  • Experience with Collaborati, TyMetrix, Serengeti (Legal Tracker), LegalX, LSS, Counselink and/or other electronic billing platform
  • Ability to handle high volume of work, including ability to multi-task and prioritize work efficiently
  • Understanding of general ledger accounting (journal entries, A/P, A/R, bank reconciliations) a plus

Compensation / Benefits:

  • $60-$70k (based on credentials and experience)
  • PTO, Medical, Dental, Vision, Life/LTD/STD, 401k
