Oklahoma Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) School Setting

An onsite Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) is needed for the 2026/2027 school year in Oklahoma City, OK. This contract position offers both part-time (20 hours/week) and full-time (37.5 hours/week) schedules, supporting students through occupational therapy services within a school environment. The role spans the full academic term from August 2026 through May 2027, with the first day of school on August 13, 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide occupational therapy support to students as outlined in individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with educators, therapists, and parents to enhance student outcomes
  • Assist in assessments, documentation, and therapy planning tailored to student needs
  • Maintain compliance with all state and school policies related to occupational therapy services
  • Manage caseload effectively with flexibility based on student requirements (caseload details TBD)

Qualifications:

  • Valid Oklahoma State Occupational Therapist Assistant certification (COTA)
  • Experience working within school or pediatric healthcare settings preferred
  • Strong understanding of school-based OT practices and educational regulations
  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills
  • Ability to adapt therapy strategies to diverse student populations
