A Registered Nurse opportunity is available in Chimayo, NM, offering a night shift schedule from 7 PM to 7:30 AM with a contract employment type. This role involves delivering patient-centered care in line with unit standards, ensuring safety and quality within a supportive clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and implement nursing care for patients based on their specific age group and clinical needs.
• Maintain high standards of clinical practice and demonstrate professionalism with staff, physicians, patients, and families.
• Communicate effectively and respectfully, tailoring interactions to the developmental and emotional needs of patients.
• Handle emergency situations with competence and composure.
• Adhere to departmental protocols regarding infection control and safety measures.
• Engage in physical patient care activities requiring mobility, strength, and coordination.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program.
• Current New Mexico RN license or a valid Compact state license.
• Certification in BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association.
• NRP Certification as required.
• Relevant clinical skills appropriate to the patient population served.
• Strong knowledge of patient rights and sensitivity in care delivery.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including response to changing schedules or emergencies.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

• Exposure to bloodborne pathogens and infectious diseases.
• Requires prolonged standing and walking; physical strength to assist patients and manage equipment.
• Visual and auditory acuity sufficient for clinical duties.
• Capacity for fine motor tasks and spatial judgment.
