Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An immediate need exists for two IV / Infusion Pharmacists to support specialty pharmacy operations. These contract positions, lasting approximately 8-10 weeks, require candidates to start quickly and bring expertise in infusion pharmacy, ensuring effective management of specialized therapies in a dynamic environment.
Location: Nellis AFB, NV
Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM with weekend on-call rotation
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active Nevada Pharmacist License (required)
- BS or PharmD from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy
- Specialty, infusion, or compounding pharmacy background (retail-only experience is not sufficient)
- 1-2 years experience in specialty, infusion, hospital, or similar pharmacy settings preferred
- Strong understanding of specialty therapies, payer requirements, and patient qualification processes
- Experience supervising or closely working with pharmacy technicians
- Familiarity with CareTend software is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee prescription review, verification, dispensing, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards (State Board of Pharmacy, FDA, DEA, URAC, ACHC)
- Provide patient counseling and manage medication therapy for specialty disease states
- Supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians and interns
- Collaborate with Intake, Referral, and Clinical teams to support onboarding and prescription fulfillment
- Support quality assurance, maintain documentation, and assist with incident resolution
- Maintain accurate pharmacy records and operational workflows
- Participate in weekend on-call rotation as needed
This contract role requires strong clinical judgment, excellent communication, leadership skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and pharmacy software. Candidates must be able to work onsite and effectively manage multiple priorities.
