About the Role:
Rani is seeking a CAD Technician or Engineer that will be responsible for designing, modeling, and drafting pipe networks for various infrastructure projects using Autodesk Civil 3D software. This includes stormwater, sewer, and water distribution systems. The role will require collaboration with other engineers, designers, and project managers to ensure that designs meet local codes, regulations, and project specifications. The role will be integral in influencing and advancing the Rani reputation for high quality professional services.
Responsibilities:
- Create, modify, and manage pipe network systems (stormwater, sewer, and water) using Civil 3D
- Model and adjust pipe sizes, slopes, and connections for optimal flow and drainage
- Ensure that all designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and local regulations
- Liaise with project managers, construction teams, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery
- Coordinate and integrate designs with other disciplines (e.g. roadways, utilities) for comprehensive project development
Minium Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or two-year certificate
- 1+ year of design experience using Autodesk Civil 3D
- Experience with other design software such as AutoCAD and Hydraflow
- Understanding of pipe network design principles (hydraulic and hydrologic analysis, flow analysis, pressure gradients)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- High degree of accuracy in calculations and drawings
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical design issues
Preferred Qualifications:
- Pipe network design experience
