Job Description
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Procurement Manager to lead and enhance procurement operations within a growing manufacturing organization. This role will be responsible for developing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, driving cost reduction initiatives, and transforming procurement processes into a competitive advantage.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in manufacturing procurement, supplier management, strategic sourcing, and supply chain optimization. This individual will work closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and other cross-functional teams to ensure materials availability, improve supplier performance, and support business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement Strategy & Planning

- Develop and execute short-term and long-term procurement strategies aligned with business goals.
- Analyze purchasing trends, supplier performance, and market conditions to identify cost savings and process improvement opportunities.
- Monitor key procurement metrics and implement initiatives to improve efficiency, quality, and overall performance.
- Conduct market research to understand industry trends, pricing changes, and supply chain risks.

Supplier & Contract Management

- Identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers based on quality, delivery, reliability, and cost performance.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, service agreements, and purchasing terms.
- Build strong supplier partnerships and drive continuous supplier improvement.
- Maintain supplier performance metrics and scorecards.
- Ensure supplier compliance with company policies, quality standards, and applicable regulations.

Supply Chain & Inventory Management

- Partner with suppliers, production teams, and logistics providers to ensure material availability and prevent disruptions.
- Optimize inventory levels while supporting production requirements and working capital goals.
- Manage purchasing processes, material planning, and supplier delivery performance.
- Support international supply chain activities, including incoming freight coordination and logistics processes.

- Lead initiatives focused on total cost improvement, process optimization, and operational efficiency.

- Develop and maintain reporting metrics to measure procurement performance.

Leadership & Collaboration

- Lead, mentor, and develop procurement team members and buyers.
- Establish team goals, performance expectations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, and Operations teams to align procurement activities with business needs.
- Support implementation of best practices across procurement and supply chain functions.

Qualifications
\n

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Logistics, or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in strategic procurement, purchasing management, or supply chain leadership within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience managing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and driving cost reduction initiatives.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and supplier management.
- Experience with ERP systems and procurement tools required.
- SAP experience preferred.
- Strong analytical, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to lead teams and drive process improvements.
