A travel opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse specializing in Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) nursing. This role focuses on providing high-quality post-surgical patient care, ensuring smooth and safe recovery after surgery within a dedicated 22-bed post-surgical unit. The patient ratio is approximately 1:4-5, allowing for attentive and personalized nursing care.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and assess patients recovering from surgery, managing vital signs and pain levels.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, adhering to strict safety protocols.
- Collaborate with surgical teams and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
- Respond promptly to patient needs and emergencies in the post-anesthesia setting.
- Document patient status and care activities accurately and comprehensively.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Experience in PACU or related post-surgical care preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to maintain calm and control in fast-paced recovery environments.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
