Position Overview
The Occupational Therapist (OT) delivers direct rehabilitation services in occupational therapy to patients referred by physicians, adhering to all relevant laws, regulations, and organizational standards.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program (BSOT or MSOT)
- New graduates are welcome to apply
- Engagement in community health initiatives/projects as appropriate
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email communication
- Ability to liaise effectively with patients, families, and support departments
- Knowledgeable about practices, procedures, and regulations governing post-acute care facilities
- Ability to implement and interpret departmental programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures
- Competency in all relevant areas, including patient rights, safety, and sanitation
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of all proprietary and confidential information
- Understanding and adherence to company policies, including those related to harassment and compliance
- Exhibit integrity and professionalism by following the organization's Code of Conduct and completing required compliance training
- Supervise and evaluate care provided by Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTAs), Rehabilitation Aides, and students
- Utilize therapy software accurately and effectively
- Demonstrate excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude towards patients
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
