Our organization is in search of a board-certified or board-eligible Maternal Fetal Medicine physician to become part of our Women's and Infants service line.

As a county hospital system, we have proudly served the residents of Tarrant County for over a century. Position Overview:

  • Focus on clinical responsibilities including ambulatory and hospital perinatal consultations and ultrasounds.
  • Participate in a 24-hour academic OB program.
  • Engage in resident education with expectations for academic and quality improvement-focused research.
  • Maintain clinical and academic affiliations with the University of North Texas Health Science Center (UNTHSC) Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine (TCOM) and Texas Christian University (TCU) as well as the UNTHSC School of Medicine.
  • Share call coverage with colleagues.
  • Fetal Echo experience is preferred.

Qualifications:

Women's and Infants Team:
Our team consists of 10 board-certified OB/GYN physicians, 6 subspecialists, and 21 Advanced Practice Providers (WHNP and CNM), along with 16 OBGYN residents. Together, we provide comprehensive services and support for women at every stage of life. Our offerings include preventative healthcare, low and high-risk prenatal, childbirth, and postnatal care, menopause management, urogynecology, and gynecologic oncology evaluation and treatment. We are designated as a Level I Trauma Center, Level III NICU, and Level IV MLOC, delivering an average of 4,000 babies annually with 24-hour in-house inpatient hospital coverage.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) degree from an accredited medical institution.
  • Completion of residency and/or fellowship training in the specialty.
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Maternal Fetal Medicine.
  • Five years of independent practice experience is highly preferred.

Licensure and Certification:

  • Current Texas Medical License.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Unrestricted DEA registration.

Essential Functions of the Role:

  • Examine, collect, record, and maintain patient information, including medical history, reports, and examination results.
  • Prescribe or administer treatments, therapies, medications, vaccinations, and other medical care to prevent or treat illnesses, diseases, or injuries.
  • Order, perform, and interpret tests, analyzing records, reports, and examination information to diagnose patients' conditions.
  • Collaborate with a clinical team of technicians, advanced practice professionals, and other physicians in decision-making regarding tests, diagnoses, and treatment options for patients.
  • Monitor patient conditions and progress, reevaluating treatments as necessary.
  • May perform surgical or non-invasive procedures within the area of specialty.
