Our client, a manufacturing company in the Catoosa area, is seeking an experienced Fitter Welder for their 2nd shift team. This is a hands-on role requiring a highly skilled individual who can work independently with minimal supervision and contribute to larger team projects when needed.
Schedule:Monday–Thursday | 3:00 PM – 2:00 AM
(Overtime as needed on Fridays)
Pay:$20 – $24 per hour DOE
Key Responsibilities
- Fit and weld structural components and assemblies including platforms, tubing, sheet metal, plate, pipe, and enclosures
- Perform TIG welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum
- Perform MIG welding on carbon steel and stainless steel
- Perform FCAW (fluxcore) welding on carbon steel
- Read and interpret complex blueprints and fabrication drawings
- Measure, cut, and fit materials using tools such as tape measures, squares, levels, band saws, and grinders
- Assemble both small and large weldments with minimal supervision
- Ensure weld quality meets specifications and company standards
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
- Work independently on assigned projects and collaborate with team members on larger builds
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in fitting and welding structural components
- Strong proficiency in:
- TIG welding (carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum)
- MIG welding (carbon steel and stainless steel)
- FCAW / fluxcore welding (carbon steel)
- Proven ability to fit and assemble components independently
- Strong blueprint reading and layout skills
- Experience working with a variety of fabrication tools and measuring equipment
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
- Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled shop environment (heat conditions during summer months)
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
