Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A K-12 educational setting in Raeford, NC is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to support student development and educational success throughout the school year. This contractual position provides an opportunity to apply therapeutic expertise in a dynamic school environment, working directly with children from kindergarten through 12th grade.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to evaluate students' occupational therapy needs.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to improve students functional abilities.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to integrate therapy goals within the classroom setting.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment strategies as needed.
- Provide guidance on adaptive techniques and assistive devices to promote student independence.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license.
- Experience working with school-age children (K-12) preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with students, families, and school staff.
- Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
