RN Nurse Educator – Women’s & Children’s Services
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Type: Contract
Pay: $60.00/hr – $80.00/hr
Shift & Schedule: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Educator to support Women's & Children's Services. This role is responsible for advancing clinical competency, staff development, evidence-based practice, and quality outcomes across Labor & Delivery, NICU, Pediatrics, and Postpartum services.
The ideal candidate will possess strong maternal-child health experience, exceptional educational skills, and a passion for developing nursing excellence.
Responsibilities
• Provide clinical education and ongoing support for Labor & Delivery, NICU, Pediatrics, and Postpartum departments.
• Design, develop, and implement competency-based educational programs.
• Coordinate orientation and onboarding programs for new nursing staff.
• Conduct annual competencies, skills validation, and clinical assessments.
• Promote evidence-based practice and adherence to clinical standards.
• Support quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
• Collaborate with nursing leadership to identify educational needs and performance improvement opportunities.
• Develop educational materials, training modules, and learning resources.
• Monitor educational outcomes and staff competency metrics.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and organizational requirements.
Required Qualifications
• Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License.
• Master's Degree in Education.
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience.
• Strong clinical teaching, leadership, and communication skills.
• Experience developing educational programs and competency assessments.
Preferred Qualifications
• NICU experience.
• Maternal Child Health experience.
• Previous Nurse Educator experience.
• Experience with quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives.
• Certifications related to Women's Health, Maternal Child Nursing, or Nursing Education.
