Provides administrative and clerical sales support. Prepares marketing materials for sales appointments and community events. Monitors memorial products, verify installation, and notifies family.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales Contracts
- Discusses contract issue(s) and deliverable with Sales Associate. Tracks contract issue metrics. Identifies trends and discusses with Sales Management for underperformance discussion with Sales Associate.
- Runs reports to identify Pre-Need past due payments. Forwards report to Sales Management for cascade to Sales Associate.
- Reconciles pending property payments against contract and contract revisions; revenue is recognized when 75% paid.
Memorial Products
- Monitors in-progress manufacturing and confirms delivery. Updates Sales Associate upon installation.
- Take initiative to resolve issues with grounds superintendent surrounding installation. Post installation, notify client of completion.
- Escalates customer dissatisfaction issues to Sales Associate or management.
Sales Support
- Place outgoing calls to confirm scheduled sales appointments. Update system to notify Sales Associate.
- Prepare marketing and pricing materials for scheduled appointments.
- Prepare marketing, pricing, and advertising materials for community events. Assist with event set-up, as needed during event, and event break-down/clean-up. May order catering or supplies.
- Organize and maintain marketing materials, lot cards, burial books, maps, and similar.

- Self manages workload to deliver quality work on time. Works independently; as needed requests work be peer reviewed for accuracy and improvement. Completes non-routine work applying experience and knowledge of procedures, regulations, and policies; escalates complex and unique issues for guidance. Consistently applies procedures, regulations, and policies producing compliant and efficient results. Exhibits accountability for work and behaviors.
- Takes the initiative to discuss assignments, expectations, priorities and deadlines as well as seek guidance and coaching from manager. Notifies manager when workload is light and volunteers for additional work. Adjusts effectively to work within new work structures, processes, requirements, or cultures. Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Maintains department’s standard operating procedures (SOP) and job aids. Requests SOP & job aids peer review. Learns how to document SOPs, appropriate level of detail, and written communication.

MINIMUM Requirements
Education
- High School Diploma or GED
Licenses
- Valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
Experience
- At least two (2) years’ administrative work experience, preferably with electronic contracts.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Bilingual proficiency is a plus
- Proficient computer skills
- Accurate mathematical skills
- Detail oriented
- Ability to learn funeral/cemetery/care center industry acumen
- Cognitive ability including reasoning, identify problems, comprehend ideas, learn quickly, learn from experience, and appropriately apply learning to new situations.
- Process and results oriented, motivated to keep projects moving ahead by identifying obstacles and exploring alternatives
- Must have a positive attitude, a drive to continually advance your understanding of the industry and business, and is highly self-motivated
- Ability to build professional and trusting business relations across the Territory
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to work in the death industry
Work CONDITIONS
Work Environment
- Work indoors during all seasons and weather conditions
- Comply with Field dress code policy
Work Postures
- Frequent, continuous periods of time standing, up 6 hours per day
- Sitting continuously for many hours per day, up to 6 hours per day
- Climbing stairs to access buildings and cemetery property frequently
Physical Demands
- Physical effort requiring manual dexterity is required, includes paperwork, calculators, computers and phone usage
- Lifting, pushing, pulling up to 10 pounds
Work Hours
- Working beyond “standard” hours as the need arises

Compensation:
Salary: $20.00/hr.- $26.00/hr.
An individual’s pay within the scale is based on several factors that may include one or more of the following: background, skills, relevant experience, performance, education and work location.
