Job Description

The Patient Service Representative serves as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service and administrative support. This role involves managing patient interactions, scheduling appointments, and ensuring smooth operations in a fast-paced medical environment. This PSR position is full time, Monday through Friday, business hours.

Responsibilities:

Greet patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
Schedule and confirm patient appointments using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
Verify patient insurance information and collect co-payments as needed.
Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate staff.
Maintain patient records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Assist with check-in/check-out processes and manage patient flow.
Coordinate referrals and communicate with clinical staff to support patient care.
Perform general administrative tasks, such as data entry, filing, and managing correspondence.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 1 year of experience in medical administration
Proficiency with EMR systems, Athena a plus
Strong communication skills with a patient-focused attitude
Reliable and consistant attendance a must
