Degree in Radiologic Technology, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT Certification), and minimum 1+ years Radiology Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A healthcare organization in Saint Marys, OH, is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to provide diagnostic imaging services on evening shifts. This contract opportunity is ideal for a technologist with hospital inpatient acute care experience who is ready to support a broad patient population including neonates through geriatrics in emergency, inpatient, and outpatient settings.
Responsibilities:
- Obtain patient clinical histories and ensure documentation for licensed practitioners
- Position and immobilize patients to capture quality diagnostic images with attention to comfort and safety
- Apply radiation safety principles to protect patients, staff, and self
- Operate radiology equipment including GE mobile and fixed rooms; utilize C-arm for intraoperative imaging
- Assist licensed practitioners during fluoroscopic and specialized radiographic procedures, maintaining aseptic techniques
- Verify informed consent and complete pre/post-procedure documentation accurately
- Record radiation dose exposures and evaluate image quality
- Interact professionally with physicians, staff, and patients while maintaining a patient-centered approach
Qualifications:
- Certification and registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required
- At least 1 year of hospital inpatient acute care experience, preferentially with ER, OR, and surgery exposure
- Proficiency with GE mobile units and C-arm imaging preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required prior to direct patient care
- Familiarity with Radiology Information System (RIS), PACS, and electronic health records (EPIC preferred)
Schedule:
- Evening shifts, 8 hours each, every third weekend
- No call requirement
- Schedule varies; shift work required
Work Environment and Physical Demands:Expect a dynamic, sometimes high-stress environment involving patient lifting, prolonged standing and walking, and exposure to electronic imaging equipment. Flexibility and critical thinking are essential.
