Job Description

Position Overview:

Healthy4Life is a multidisciplinary obesity medicine clinic, providing comprehensive medical and psychological care for patients struggling with overweight and obesity across the lifespan. Our evidence based approach is built upon the four pillars of obesity medicine: Medicine, Behavior, Nutrition and Physical Activity. We are seeking a compassionate, motivated, and team-oriented Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Associate (PA) to join our passionate, high caliber team. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals struggling with overweight and obesity, using evidence-based approaches including lifestyle modification, pharmacotherapy, and support for metabolic health.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with overweight or obesity, including history, physical exams, and appropriate diagnostic testing.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating lifestyle counseling, behavioral strategies, medication management, and referrals to ancillary services.
  • Monitor and adjust pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies for weight management.
  • Provide education on nutrition, physical activity, sleep, and other behavior modification strategies.
  • Collaborate with physician, psychologist, other physician associates and nurse practitioners, registered dietitians and other team members to support integrated care.
  • Track patient progress and outcomes through follow-up visits, labs, and electronic health records.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with clinical protocols and quality standards.
  • Stay current on best practices and emerging treatments in obesity medicine.

Qualifications:

  • Required:
  • Active and unrestricted license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Associate in Illinois.
  • National certification (e.g., AANP, ANCC, NCCPA).
  • DEA license or eligibility.
  • BLS certification.
  • Preferred:
  • Experience in Obesity Medicine, Endocrinology, Primary Care, or related field.
  • Certification or training in Obesity Medicine (e.g., ABOM certification or working toward it).
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR).

Compensation:

  • Position will begin as a part time 1099 independent contractor position with capacity to grow in to a full time 1099 or employee position if desired.
