Safavieh is an upscale global home furnishing, rugs & accessories company looking for a proactive, personable, highly motivated and organized Assistant Buyer – Home Furnishings.

Our offices are located in Port Washington, NY.
Responsibilities:
- Work with Senior Buyer during the product development phase while supporting seasonal concepts and needs.
- Communicate with overseas vendors to define product requirements for design and sourcing to ensure on time delivery.
- Responsible for SKU setup/ SKU maintenance
- Responsible for handling all pricing: enter and maintain all price and cost changes, working closely with Senior Buyer
- Responsible for sample management
- Responsible for product photography management and maintenance to include reviewing product photography proofs and communicating with marketing teams in order to ensure all product is up-to-date on company webpage.
- Take on general administrative duties
Qualifications:
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2 years Buying/Merchandising experience
- Strong Analytical and Excel skills
- Capable of reading sales trends, pulling reports, and applying learnings
- Ability to work autonomously, strong decision-making skills with good judgement, and handling multiple priorities (shifting tasks and timelines appropriately).
- Must be articulate, assertive, and have excellent communication skills.
- Experience in a cross-functional role
Compensation:
- Dependent upon experience
- Full time position
