Job DescriptionMedical Billing and Coding Specialist

LHH recruitment solutions is hiring for a Medical Billing and Coding Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately billing, coding, submitting insurance claims, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. You will work closely with healthcare providers and insurance companies to resolve billing discrepancies and maximize reimbursement. Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits, and 401K plan.

Responsibilities to include:

  • Review and assign appropriate codes to medical procedures and diagnoses using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS standards.
  • Prepare and submit insurance claims for reimbursement.
  • Follow up on claim status and resolve any billing issues or denials.
  • Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality.
  • Stay current on industry regulations and coding updates.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or certification in medical billing/coding preferred.
  • Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
  • Experience with medical billing software.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Pay Details: $21.00 to $23.00 per hour
