We are currently seeking a full-time patient coordinator to join our team in our northern locations in Palm Beach County. Job Description
Job Summary
The patient coordinator is a vital part of the office team as the first point of contact with the patients. They are responsible for answering phones, greeting patients, scheduling appointments and collecting copays in a professional and friendly manner.
Responsibilities
- Answer phones timely
- Schedule patient appointments
- Collects co-payments and outstanding balances
- Filing, faxing and other miscellaneous front desk tasks
- Knowledge of multiple insurances, referral and authorization process
- Troubleshoot insurance claims issues
- Develop competency with EMR and practice management system
Qualifications
Required skills and Qualifications
- Must have prior experience in medical front office settings
- Must be able and willing to commute to local offices
- Excellent communication skills
- Flexibility with hours and local area travel
- Computer proficiency for an office nearly 100% electronic (Scanning, uploading, downloading, document transfer)
- Ability to work in multiple software programs/applications
- Exhibit patience and compassion
- Ability to prioritize tasks properly
