Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour
Location: Oakdale, CA
Schedule:: Onsite Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. Starting July 13, the schedule shifts to 6 days a week, either Sunday to Friday or Monday to Saturday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm.
Summary:
Kelly Services is Hiring a Temporary Operations Support Specialist who provides administrative, technical, and specialized support for purchasing and inventory management. Responsibilities include processing invoices, credit card payments, and requisitions; reviewing goods receipts and invoices for accuracy; research and problem-solving; and providing backup support to procurement, scheduling, and supply room functions. This position also contributes to process improvements and supports other assigned duties.
Position Responsibilities:
- Review invoices, receiving paperwork, and inventory transactions for accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies by collaborating with relevant internal and external resources.
- Provide backup support as needed for procurement, scheduling, inventory control, and supply room teams.
- Review daily inventory and exception reports to support procurement activities.
- Create purchase requisitions and purchase orders for required goods and services.
- Evaluate purchase requests for completeness and accuracy.
- Monitor and expedite the delivery of purchased items and services, supporting procurement and maintenance needs.
- Coordinate with procurement and maintenance departments to maintain adequate inventory levels.
- Provide status updates to departments regarding purchase orders.
- Confirm closing and/or cancellation of purchase orders with requesting departments.
- Ensure all orders are processed using appropriate chart of accounts.
- Receive and inspect incoming stock for discrepancies or damage, and work with vendors for resolution.
- Conduct cycle counts of supply inventory and assist in yearly inventory counts as required.
- Process orders and requisitions to support scheduling needs as requested.
- Collaborate with personnel across procurement, scheduling, logistics, inventory control, finance, and operations teams.
- Maintain compliance with all workplace policies and procedures.
- Participate in cost-reduction efforts and improvement projects.
- Complete required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Analyze and evaluate information to determine solutions to problems or issues.
- Assist with training and development of team members as needed.
- Perform other assigned tasks as necessary.
Position Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; additional education preferred.
- 0 to 3 years of relevant experience.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent written, verbal communication, and customer service skills.
