Qualifications: Must have a High school diploma or G.E.D., and be able to pass a back ground check. Flexibility to work any shift as needed or assigned. (Includes weekends / Nights/ and holidays) as scheduled. Prefer one year of training in payroll, unemployment, and insurance. Must have excellent communication and customer relation skills, able to deal with employees on a daily bases. Must be good with numbers and have knowledge of 10 Key and some Microsoft excel and word experience. Must be able to take directions well and work within a small enclosed area with others as a team.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • General office knowledge to keep the office updated and flexible to handle various situations. Assist with daily operations of the HR Department.
  • Responsible for answering multi line phone system, transfer calls to appropriate personnel.
  • Setting up interviews/ and sit in on the interview process
  • Complete new hire employment reference checks on applicants, quickly so positions can be filled.
  • Help new hires with their paperwork, and enter information on computer.
  • Conduct Human Resource functions for KGI Enterprises as required.
  • Assist with payroll for the KGI Enterprises as scheduled.
  • Assemble and deliver Gaming License information for payroll deduction to payroll clerk.
  • Filing to insure records are easily found for KGI.
  • Assist with orientation of new hires as needed for KGI.
  • Work closely with Kaw Nation Gaming Commission on new hires/terminations/resignations.
  • Fax, new hire information and change actions to designated locations and date stamp before sending to insure dates they were sent for KGI.
  • Complete release, resignation, acceptance, or terminate letters with accuracy for signatures.
  • Verify employment for DHS, Social Security and Child Support for KGI.
  • Assist in gathering paperwork for unemployment cases as needed for KGI.
  • Assist in process of payroll distribution as needed. Cross train in all areas to insure continuous run of HR department for KGI.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times. Human Resource is the first impression to an applicant.
  • Assist when needed insurance spreadsheets and check billing for accuracy of deductions. Which is a priority after bi-weekly payroll.
  • Assist with the pre-employment testing for KGI enterprise operations.
  • Insure HR Calendars are kept up to date on the computer system for KGI.
  • Keep work area clean and neat at all times. Empty own trash, vacuum where needed.
  • Be courteous and professional at all time to co-workers, customers, vendors or anyone you may have contact with while on duty.
  • Must wear employee badges at all times while on duty or conducting business.
  • Any duties that may be assigned by immediate supervisor
