Location: Amherst, NH

Employment Type: Full-Time, Seasonal (June 17 – August 13, 2026)



About Client

A long-standing lakeside overnight camp in southern New Hampshire serving 200–250 campers per session, ages 8–15. The health team includes four live-in RNs, nursing students, and full leadership support. A warm, inclusive, community-driven culture where nurses are set up to thrive without burnout.



Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $1,200–$1,400/week — Based on experience and qualifications

  • Relocation Assistance: Travel expenses covered

  • Shift: Structured Early, Mid, and Late shifts with guaranteed breaks; Late shift includes on-call responsibility but does not require staying awake

  • Benefits Package: Private room and bath; all meals included; camp-age children welcome to attend; pets negotiable



Job Summary

Join a four-nurse live-in health team caring for campers and staff across a full residential summer season. The role spans clinical assessment, medication management, and parent communication—all within a structured shift model built to keep the medical team energized and effective.



Key Responsibilities

  • Perform ongoing nursing assessments and deliver care to campers and staff throughout the day

  • Keep health records complete, current, and accurate

  • Oversee medication packaging, storage, and administration; lead four daily med passes

  • Respond promptly to on-site injuries, illnesses, and urgent health needs

  • Brief camp leadership on meaningful health developments in a timely manner

  • Engage with parents in a professional, friendly, and reassuring way

  • Help keep the Health Center organized, calm, and welcoming at all times



Minimum Requirements

  • Active RN license in New Hampshire or a Compact state

  • Comfortable working with children ages 8–15 in a residential camp setting

  • Strong communication skills with kids, staff, and parents

  • Reliable and committed; able to fulfill the full summer season

  • Enthusiastic and engaged participation in a community-centered camp environment

Ideal Qualifications

  • Background in pediatrics, school nursing, camp healthcare, or emergency medicine
