This assignment brings you into a dynamic Med/Surg environment, ideal for nurses looking to deepen their clinical skills and expand their professional network. Schedule/Hours:
- 13-week contract
- 12-hour day shifts (6:30 am–7:00 pm)
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week (option for 48 hours upon request)
- Weekend requirement: three weekends per six-week schedule; every other holiday
Qualifications:
- Active compact RN license
- AHA BLS and NIHSS certifications (must be submitted upon applying)
- Minimum 2 years recent, strong Med/Surg RN experience
- At least 1 prior travel assignment
- Trauma Level II background
- Recent Epic charting experience (will need to complete a checkoff class)
- Proficient with remote tele, chest/NG/PEG tubes, Foleys, ostomies, drips, trach care, and PCA management
- Demonstrated resilience, adaptability, and strong assessment/critical thinking skills
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to a varied Med/Surg patient population (post-surgical, UTI, sepsis, COPD, CHF, and high fall risk)
- Float between local campuses as needed within your skillset (all within a short drive)
- May provide guidance as a preceptor for students/new hires
