Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A growing 503A compounding pharmacy based in Tempe, AZ, is seeking a licensed Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) with active, clear licenses in California and Arizona. This contract-to-hire opportunity offers a supportive environment ideal for newer pharmacists eager to develop their skills in pharmacy operations and non-sterile compounding. Training will be provided, making this a great chance to gain valuable experience while assuming leadership responsibilities.

Location: Tempe, AZ
Schedule: Full Time, 32 Hours/Week (Monday-Thursday)
Shift: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (flexible within shift hours)

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily pharmacy operations ensuring efficient workflow, productivity, and regulatory compliance.
• Supervise and mentor pharmacists and technicians, delivering performance feedback and ongoing training.
• Review and approve prescription orders for accuracy, clinical appropriateness, and compliance before dispensing.
• Maintain adherence to Board of Pharmacy regulations, company policies, quality standards, and documentation protocols.
• Manage staffing and scheduling to optimize operational efficiency and service levels.
• Collaborate with leadership to drive operational improvements and uphold high standards of patient care.
• Participate in non-sterile compounding as needed; training provided.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Active and clear pharmacist licenses in California and Arizona are required.
• Minimum of 2 years of pharmacist experience, preferably including mail order, long-term care, or 503A compounding pharmacy.
• Experience in non-sterile compounding is strongly preferred but not mandatory.
• Pharmacy management experience is a plus.
• Ability to commit to full-time work schedule.
