Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years ICU RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Provide specialized critical care as an ICU/CCU RN coordinating and delivering nursing services to a diverse patient population, including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients with serious respiratory, cardiac, or surgical needs. This role demands flexibility and commitment, as you will be expected to work 80 hours every two weeks, covering any shifts without exceptions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality nursing care in a 4-bed ICU/CCU unit, maintaining a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:2 based on acuity.
- Coordinate care for patients requiring advanced respiratory and cardiac monitoring, including ventilator support.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient management.
- Participate in orientation programs including hospital HR onboarding, unit orientation with nurse manager, and shadow shifts across day and night.
- Float to OB, Medical-Surgical, PACU, and ER units as needed, based on competency.
- Support emergency and post-anesthesia recovery care, with ER experience recommended.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid RN license with critical care (ICU/CCU) experience.
- Ability to work any assigned shifts, demonstrating flexibility.
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to handle high-acuity cases.
- Experience with ventilated patients and emergency care preferred.
- Compliance with facility orientation and competency requirements.
Schedule:
- 80 hours every two weeks, flexible shift coverage with no exceptions.
- Holiday pay based on hours worked on New Years Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
