Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide comprehensive nursing care in a Med Surg/Telemetry environment with a strong focus on orthopedic patients. This role requires flexibility to float across units and deliver high-quality care in a fast-paced, acute care setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to Med Surg, Telemetry, and Orthopedic patients.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to telemetry alerts.
• Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Document patient care using systems such as Epic Systems.
• Serve in a charge nurse capacity when required.
• Float to other units as needed within scope and competency.

Schedule & Work Environment

• Night shifts (12-hour shifts)
• Full-time schedule (3 shifts per week)
• Floating required based on facility needs
• Acute care hospital setting

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state-specific)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med Surg/Telemetry experience in a large healthcare facility
• Strong orthopedic (Ortho) experience required
• Charge nurse experience required
• Minimum 1 year of experience with Epic Systems

Certifications Required

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• Ability to pass EKG competency/assessment
