EverGreene Architectural Arts is hiring a Foreperson to lead craftwork and field production on a restoration project in Minneapolis, MN. This project is expected to run for approximately 6 to 9 months. Candidates who can travel may be eligible for work on other project sites throughout the US which could lead to full time status. This role is ideal for experienced artisans and field leaders who are passionate about high-quality restoration and preservation work.

Position Summary
As a Foreperson, you will supervise on-site craft teams to ensure high-quality execution, productive workflow, and accurate scope delivery on restoration projects. You will coordinate with EverGreenes Site Superintendent or Project Manager, monitor material needs, and track time and quantities for potential change orders. The role blends hands-on trade work with team leadership, field reporting, and safety enforcement - providing a vital link between skilled craftworkers and project leadership while upholding EverGreenes reputation for excellence.
Core Responsibilities
Field Supervision & Craft Oversight
- Direct and coordinate day-to-day work activities for crews, including in-house craftworkers and subcontractors.
- Clearly communicate daily goals, work plans, and safety protocols with crews.
- Proactively identify and resolve field issues or conflicts that may impact progress or quality.
- Reference project drawings, details, and specifications to help guide scopes of work.
- Monitor work for quality, consistency, and adherence to project standards.
- Perform hands-on work when needed, particularly on complex or high-detail tasks.
- Mentor junior crew members in craft standards, safe practices, and productivity.
- Demonstrate a commitment to workplace safety and inclusivity by upholding best practices and fostering a diverse culture of mutual respect.
Site Logistics & Material Coordination
- Track and manage materials, tools, and equipment to support uninterrupted production.
- Coordinate site access, laydown areas, and workspace readiness with the Superintendent or GC.
- Assist with receiving and verifying deliveries against packing lists or POs.
Safety, Field Reporting & Change Order tracking
- Enforce safety practices and maintain OSHA compliance
- Complete daily paperwork, track crew hours, and report any delays, incidents, or field conditions using digital tools like Procore.
- Communicate potential change to site conditions, schedule delays, or logistical concerns
- Identify change order conditions in the field and help document related time, materials, and quantities as needed
Qualifications & Requirements
- 5+ years of construction or restoration experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead craft role
- Skilled in one or more relevant trades (plaster, decorative painting, gilding, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents, shop drawings, and installation details.
- You are organized and an exceptional communicator with keen attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of restoration practices, with hands-on experience in at least one core craft (plaster, decorative painting, wallcovering installation, etc.).

- Proven ability to lead crews effectively, manage priorities, and maintain clear site documentation.
- Familiarity with Procore or other construction documentation tools
- OSHA 30 required; SST (for NYC candidates) preferred. Can be obtained once hired.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to travel to project sites across the region or country as needed
Work Environment
This role is performed on-site at active construction or restoration sites and includes physical activity such as lifting up to 50 lbs., bending, standing for long periods, and working at heights or on scaffolding. PPE is required.
