Job Title: Financial Analyst / Senior Accountant - Corporate Accounting
Job Type: Contract, W-2
Location: Hybrid, Northbrook, IL - 3 days onsite per week
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented accounting professional to support global accounting operations, strengthen internal controls, and drive process improvements. This individual will play a key role in month-end close activities, cross-functional initiatives, and special projects. The ideal candidate is analytical, proactive, collaborative, and comfortable operating independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations
• Perform variance analysis and investigate discrepancies
• Maintain supporting documentation and schedules in compliance with SOX requirements
• Support internal and external audit requests by providing requested materials and participating in walkthroughs and testing
• Support maintenance of Oracle Account Reconciliation tools/portal
• Contribute to accounting and finance initiatives, including system implementations, process improvements, enhancements, and special projects
• Partner effectively with cross-functional and international teams
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• Minimum 5 years of total accounting experience
• Strong GAAP knowledge
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience working with cross-functional teams in a collaborative environment
• Experience supporting improvement initiatives and process enhancements
Preferred Qualifications
• CPA certification
• Experience with Oracle ERP
• Experience with Oracle ARCS
• Experience with Kyriba
Ideal Background
• Corporate accounting experience in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and documentation discipline
• Comfortable balancing recurring close responsibilities with project-based work
• Able to work independently while also partnering across teams globally
Compensation Information
The expected salary range for this position is $32 - $48 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. TalentFish is committed to pay transparency and equal opportunity. The salary range provided is in compliance with applicable state and federal regulations.
