Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students across both an elementary and a middle school setting. This role involves working collaboratively with educational teams to deliver occupational therapy services to children with diverse needs. With a manageable caseload at both schools—36 IEPs at the elementary level and 18 at the middle school—you’ll have the chance to focus on meaningful interventions and positive outcomes. The middle school schedule features a number of students with less frequent service, allowing flexibility in caseload management. You’ll also benefit from 1.5 days each week of support from an experienced Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience with school-aged children preferred
- Proficiency in IEP development and progress monitoring
- Strong teamwork and communication abilities
- Flexible, organized, and committed to student growth
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy interventions tailored to individual student needs in both elementary and middle school settings
- Conduct thorough assessments and participate in the development and review of IEPs
- Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and other related service providers
- Supervise and delegate appropriate responsibilities to the assigned COTA
- Document progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and district requirements
- Adjust service delivery models based on varying frequency of student needs
