Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for a skilled Pharmacist to provide critical per diem coverage at a newly opened inpatient behavioral health facility starting January 2026. This role requires a professional with Pennsylvania Pharmacist licensure and experience in inpatient pharmacy practice, ideally with behavioral health expertise.
Location:
- Allentown, PA
Schedule:
- Fridays from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with on-call responsibilities until Monday 7:00 AM
- Weekend order verification approximately one hour per day starting May 2nd
- Potential for expanded onsite weekend coverage as census grows
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Licensed Pharmacist in Pennsylvania (required)
- Inpatient pharmacy experience mandatory; behavioral health background preferred
- Familiarity with EPIC order entry system (training provided onsite)
- Experience with Omnicell automation preferred, but training will be given
- Ability to work independently (no technician support onsite)
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
- Manage and stock Omnicell automated dispensing units
- Support team in a fast-paced behavioral health environment
- Function within dress code guidelines of scrubs or business casual attire
