Hire Type: Direct Hire

The Plant Engineering Manager is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and equipment to ensure operational efficiency and reliability. This role leads engineering and maintenance functions, manages capital and process improvement projects, develops project budgets, and partners closely with cross-functional teams to support plant objectives and long-term operational goals.
Key Responsibilities

  • Propose, manage, and track project budgets, including capital projects
  • Plan and execute project strategies to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery
  • Research, develop, and implement new designs, processes, and equipment improvements
  • Lead, manage, and develop the Maintenance and Engineering teams
  • Partner with leadership and cross-functional departments to support operational and strategic initiatives
  • Provide clear direction, training, and technical guidance to team members as needed
  • Ensure projects align with manufacturing efficiency, safety, and quality standards
  • Maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle proprietary and sensitive information

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher OR a minimum of four (4) years of engineering-related work experience
  • At least three (3) years of experience working in an engineering function
  • Formal training and/or a minimum of one (1) year of experience applying continuous improvement tools (Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, Transactional Lean, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering
  • At least one (1) year of leadership experience supervising or leading teams
  • Experience using timekeeping systems
  • Three (3) or more years of experience in a manufacturing and/or distribution environment
  • Three (3) or more years of experience in strategic planning and execution of capital projects
