Job Title: Instrument and Electrical Technician II
Location: Hwy 80, Midland, TX
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 5/2 | 55 Hours per Week
(40 hours straight time + 15–20 hours overtime; occasional weekend and holiday work may be required)Position Overview
We are actively searching for Instrument and Electrical Technicians II to support operations at a major oil and gas processing facility near Midland, TX. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced I&E professionals to contribute to a high-performing operations team. The role involves installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of instrumentation and electrical systems critical to production reliability and safety.
Key Responsibilities

  • Install, inspect, test, and maintain electrical and instrumentation equipment in accordance with safety regulations and work practices
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair instrumentation and control systems in a processing or production environment
  • Ensure compliance with performance standards, product quality, and equipment reliability
  • Support and promote safe work practices under the Permit to Work System (PTWS)
  • Monitor and inspect new installations; recommend or implement upgrades as needed
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to coordinate work effectively
  • Review and contribute to control specifications and work practices
  • Support development of team technical skills and attend/lead technical meetings
  • Provide technical support to fellow technicians and act as a backup for I&E Lead when required
  • Generate and follow through on Management of Change (MOC) requests for I&E systems
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping, safety, and documentation in all assigned tasks


Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree in a technical field (preferred), with additional certifications from a technical school
  • Proven experience in electrical and instrumentation maintenance in oil & gas processing plants or offshore production facilities
  • Strong working knowledge of OIMS (Operations Integrity Management System), industry regulations, and safety protocols
  • Familiarity with P&IDs, control loops, calibration, motor controls, and permit systems
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex I&E issues and implement effective solutions
