S & W Wholesale Foods is seeking a full-time Warehouse Runner to join our team!
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Receiving, labeling, and storing incoming stock.
- Ensure that orders are accurate.
- Stages items correctly for pick up.
- Operates pallet jack/reach truck equipment and ensures safety regulations are followed.
- Plans and monitors product storage.
- Ensures warehouse goals are met.
- Maintains a high level of health and safety standards.
- Shrink wraps products to pallets if necessary.
- Packs warehouse orders as necessary.
- Works in varying temperatures from -30F – 95F.
- Operates scanners so that the inventory is properly placed and accounted for to be managed accurately.
- Cleans aisles of warehouse and dock.
- Performs other general warehouse duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol screening
- Must report to work on time and have a good attendance history
- Basic knowledge of route delivery.
- Able to read & understand an invoice.
- Safe driving habits & driving record & acceptable MVR, able to lift 50+ pounds on a continuous basis.
- Customer Service attitude.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience working in warehouse preferred
- Experience working with RF scanner preferred
- Keen attention to detail
- Ability to lift heavy objects.
- Ability to stay on feet for long periods of time; positive attitude; self-motivated; active.
- Safety conscious; ability to work in a fast paced, busy environment.
- Good communication skills; ability to work well on a team but be self-motivated and independent at times.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Ability to routinely lift and move objects weighing 40-60 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to work in varying temperatures from -30F – 95F
