Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Join a dynamic K-12 educational setting in Aurora, CO, as a Special Education Teacher focusing on Autism. This contract position runs from January 7, 2026, through May 21, 2026, and offers full-time hours totaling 37.5 per week, Monday through Friday. The role is based onsite at one school, serving approximately 12 students at Mosley P-8.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students with autism spectrum disorder within a supportive classroom environment.
  • Manage and lead paraprofessional staff to maximize student success and ensure effective classroom operations.
  • Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Maintain compliance with district guidelines and state regulations while fostering an inclusive learning atmosphere.
  • Track student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly to meet educational goals.

Qualifications:

  • Active Colorado Teaching License with a Special Education Generalist endorsement is required.
  • Experience teaching students with autism and managing paraprofessional teams in a classroom setting.
  • Ability to work onsite full-time with a commitment to in-person instruction; virtual or hybrid arrangements are not permitted.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills to effectively engage with students and colleagues.
