Overview
We are seeking a full-time, in-person Lead SRO Instructor to join our team at a BWR nuclear facility. This position focuses on the delivery of high-quality instruction for Initial License Class (ILC) students pursuing a Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) and Reactor Operator licenses. In order to qualify for the lead position individual must be previous licensed with supervisory experience beyond STA / work controls OR have atleast 3 years certified SRO instruction experience. This is a permanent staff position offering long-term career stability, collaboration with a dedicated team, and the opportunity to shape the next generation of licensed operators.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, classroom-based instruction to ILC students in accordance with SAT (Systematic Approach to Training) and ADDIE principles. This is Primarily a teaching job with some contractor oversight.
  • Occassionally develop and maintain instructional materials, including lesson plans, presentations, assessments, and practical exercises.
  • Facilitate performance-based evaluations and written assessments to monitor instructors standards are met.
  • Collaborate with operations training staff, subject matter experts, students and other stakeholders to ensure effectiveness.
  • Continually assess and improve training methods, content, and delivery based on feedback and operational needs.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • SRO license or certification on a BWR or PWR.
  • Minimum of 3 years of nuclear plant experience . Previous licensed with supervisory experience beyond STA / work controls OR atleast 3 years certified SRO instruction experience
  • At least 3 years of experience must be in operations or operations training.

Benefits:
The primary benefit is the higher base pase (200k). Additionally you'll get to work fora great team, with an emphasis on 40 hour work weeks.

  • Proven experience in teaching or instructional roles, with a strong understanding of educational methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage students effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
