Job Details:

• Minimum 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
\n• 13-week contracts only
\n• 40 hours guaranteed per week
\n• Shift options based on clinic needs: 5x8s Monday through Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (occasionally 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM) or 4x10s with staggered shifts (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM or 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM, both with 30-minute lunch)
\n• Patient ratio of 1:5
\n• No call requirement and no weekend requirement
\n• Float required between two clinical sites in the Wilmington, NC coastal region (sites approximately 30 minutes apart)
\n• Primary site features 3 Varian linacs and one CT sim; sister site features one Varian True Beam and a Siemens CT simulator
\n• Traveler will NOT be expected to cut blocks, perform CT sims alone, or perform dose calculations
\n• Therapists will always be paired with at least one other therapist; never expected to work alone
\n• MD and RN are always on-site throughout the day
\n• Required skills include: Adult Acute Care, CT Simulation, Custom Molds, Custom Shield, MRI, PET Scan, Tumor Localization, Beam Modifying/Positioning, CBCT/kV/mV imaging, Wedges, External Beam Therapy, IMRT, Radiation Safety, Simulation of Treatment Sites, CT/iCT, Varian 21 ex/ix, Eclipse (Varian), Pinnacle (Philips), ARIA
\n• Required certifications: BLS and ARRT T
\n• Scrubs not provided; royal blue required
\n• Contract staff may be assigned to a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team and may be required to report during catastrophic events, mass casualty, or disaster situations

This facility operates multiple radiation oncology clinic sites serving the coastal Wilmington, NC region. The primary location is equipped with three linear accelerators and a CT simulator, while the sister site features a Varian True Beam and a Siemens CT simulator. The clinics maintain a collaborative care environment with consistent on-site physician and nursing support, ensuring radiation therapists are never working independently. The organization is committed to quality patient care for adult and geriatric oncology patients.
