Position Title: SPED ECSE (Early Childhood Special Education Teacher)
Location: South Riding, VA (20152)
Job Type: Contract | Local or Travel
Shift: Day Shift | 7:00 AM – 2:45 PM
Assignment Length: 22 Weeks
Weekly Hours: 40
Pay Rate: $40–$45/hour
Position Summary
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking SPED ECSE (Early Childhood Special Education Teacher) for an exciting job in South Riding, VA.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver direct special education instruction to preschool-aged students

Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in compliance with IDEA and state regulations
-
Design play-based and structured learning activities to support academic, social-emotional, communication, motor, and self-help skills
-
Provide instruction in individual, small-group, and inclusive classroom settings
-
Track and document student progress toward IEP goals
-
Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff
-
Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and team meetings
-
Implement positive behavior supports and age-appropriate classroom management
-
Maintain accurate documentation and compliance records
-
Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress
Required Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Early Childhood Special Education or Special Education
-
Active or eligible Virginia ECSE teaching license or appropriate endorsement
-
Experience working with young children with disabilities
-
Knowledge of early childhood development, IDEA, and IEP processes
-
Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills
Preferred Qualifications
-
Prior school-based or early childhood ECSE experience
-
Experience supporting children with developmental delays, ASD, or speech/language needs
-
Familiarity with inclusive preschool models and data-driven, play-based instruction
