Tax Staff or Tax Senior
Plymouth, Minnesota | In-Office | Full-Time
$70–80K (non-CPA) | $90–100K (CPA) + Competitive Benefits
We’re working with a boutique CPA firm known for its thoughtful, high-integrity approach to client service—and they’re looking to hire a Tax Staff or Tax Senior to join their growing team.
This firm serves a sophisticated client base including high-net-worth individuals, trusts, and complex business structures. The work is intellectually engaging, and the environment is supportive, not cutthroat. If you’re tired of being treated like a number and are ready to be part of a firm that genuinely values people, this could be your next long-term home.
The partner here has built a reputation for thorough, courtroom-ready accuracy, and the team is in growth mode with some exciting opportunities on the horizon—including high-profile advisory work.
What You’ll Do:
-
Prepare and review returns for S-Corps, C-Corps, partnerships/LLCs, individuals, trusts, gifts, and estates
-
Work directly with clients who value deep relationships and thoughtful planning
-
Present and explain complex tax data in a way that makes sense to non-CPAs
-
Collaborate with colleagues in a setting that prioritizes mentorship and support
-
Contribute to building a strong, respectful firm culture—one that rejects outdated norms
What We’re Looking For:
-
4+ years of experience in public accounting (regional or national firm)
-
Solid working knowledge of GAAP, tax-basis, and cash-basis accounting
-
Strong communication skills—you’re comfortable speaking up and explaining your work
-
A proactive, detail-oriented approach to deadlines and client work
Nice to Have (but not required):
-
CPA license (or progress toward it)
-
Experience with IRS correspondence, audits, or litigation support
-
Exposure to M&A, advanced tax planning, or advisory services
-
Attestation engagement exposure
What You’ll Get:
-
A long-term growth path at a firm that values mutual respect and transparency
-
Access to unique advisory and litigation support projects you won’t find everywhere
-
Flexibility once trust is built—hybrid options available after initial onboarding
-
Competitive compensation and a full benefits package
-
A tight-knit, inclusive team that believes in investing in good people
-
A scenic, professional office setting (you’ll want to come in!)
