Lab Technician
Job Summary:
This role involves performing routine lab tests to support quality control, process development, and waste management. You'll work with a variety of physical and chemical testing methods using advanced lab equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Test different types of samples using tools like pH meters, spectrophotometers, chromatographs (IC, GC, HPLC), and more.
- Conduct microbiological tests, including spore counts and contamination checks.
- Use lab software systems like to manage data and find test methods or standards.
- Record and report results accurately, following internal and ISO standards (9001, 14001, 18001).
- Calibrate instruments daily and follow safety and cleanliness protocols.
- Handle lab maintenance tasks like preparing solutions, cleaning glassware, and managing waste.
- Train others on waste handling procedures.
- Review lab data and reports, and communicate findings or issues with the team.
- Troubleshoot equipment problems and help others when needed.
- Manage multiple tasks efficiently and prioritize work to keep the lab running smoothly.
Skills Needed:
- Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience with lab instruments and software is a plus.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
High School diploma required as well 4-6 years of lab experience
OR
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or other life sciences
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $23.00/hr.
