VAL-CO is a leader in commercial poultry, egg, and swine production equipment, specializing in world-famous poultry watering and feeding systems is currently looking for Full-Time Shipper/CDL Driver in our Coldwater, Ohio facility.
*1st and 2nd Shift Positions Currently available
*COMPETITIVE WAGES- Top out pay of $26.72; starting wages depend on experience; $1.50 shift differential for 2nd shift
* GENEROUS PTO upon completion of 90-day probationary period
This position is responsible for:
- Prepare and load orders for motor freight (Truck Load and Less and Truck Load), UPS service and customer pick-up as required in a timely and efficient manner.
- Organize staging and loading of customer orders
- Communicate with DC Supervision on status of all customer orders and any changes or adjustments required to them
- Check that orders are safely packaged and properly loaded to prevent damage during shipment.
- Assist customers and visitors in a courteous and timely manner.
- Understand and complete all required paperwork and computer transactions correctly and timely.
- Follow all safety requirements and keep areas neat and orderly.
Requirements:
- Valid Forklift and Driver License.
- Good working knowledge of company computer system and products.
- Good basic math skills.
- Ability to successfully and courteously interface with others.
- Must have good organizational and decision making skills.
- Able to read and properly complete all required paperwork.
- Good ability to visualize load and make packaging as needed.
