Our organization, a physician-led multispecialty group with over 650 providers, is actively looking for a full-time residency-trained Orthopedic Surgeon to become part of a thriving surgical practice that extends from Nampa to Baker City. This role demands a proactive mindset towards developing practices that cater to the Eastern Oregon population. Our expanding practice offers a comprehensive array of general orthopedic services, focusing on everything from total joint replacements to aiding athletes in their recovery and return to sports, always prioritizing patient care. Candidates must possess medical licenses for both Idaho and Oregon to meet the regional surgical requirements across the communities we serve. The typical clinic schedule runs Monday through Friday, encompassing at least 32 patient contact hours weekly, along with procedures, rounding, and consultations.
Support Services: Our facilities provide 24/7 CRNA anesthesia, covering various specialties including general surgery, orthopedics, ENT, gynecology, urology, and endoscopy. We also offer hospital-based imaging services with a 24/7 radiology department, in-house coverage for general radiology and CT, and after-hours call coverage for ultrasound and nuclear medicine. Additional services include MRI, a Breast Care Center, X-ray (CR and DR image capture), and emergency department support, all within the Saint Alphonsus network of specialty and primary care clinics. Our facility is a Level 2 Trauma Hospital located in Boise, ID.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree.
- Completion of an ACGME or CanERA accredited orthopedic residency program.
- Board certification from the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS) or the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery (AOBOS) - or eligibility to obtain within three years.
- Ability to secure medical licenses in Idaho and Oregon, along with privileges at SABCH and other affiliated hospitals as required.
- Current controlled substance registration with the Board of Pharmacy and DEA.
- Willingness to participate in general orthopedic call.
- This position is based in Baker City, Oregon.
