Join our privately owned practice in Northeast Minneapolis. We’re looking for a compassionate Certified Veterinary Technician who enjoys teamwork and client education.

Pay: From $28.00 per hour

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

· Proficiency in IV catheter placement and blood draws on both cats and dogs.

· Dental radiography experience (digital, full-mouth) is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.

· A strong desire to learn Fear Free handling techniques.

· Excellent communication skills – the ability to connect with clients through text, email, phone, and in-person interactions.

· A team-oriented attitude and the ability to work closely with others.

· Experience with Avimark software is a plus, but not required.

Your Role:

As a vital member of our team, you’ll be involved in various aspects of patient care, including:

· Monitoring anesthesia for dental cleanings and surgeries (including orthopedic and specialty surgeries).

· Performing dental cleanings and full-mouth radiographs.

· Assisting doctors in the exam room, helping with patient care, client education, and reviewing treatment estimates with clients (must be comfortable performing blood draws in front of clients).

· Conducting in-house lab work, including urinalysis, skin scrapings, and ear smears, using Idexx analyzers.

· Assisting with prescription reviews and filling in-house prescriptions.

· Performing ultrasound-guided cystocentesis (if trained), or we will train you

· Providing backup support at the front desk (up to once per week) to cover lunch breaks and vacations.
