Job Description:
A top-tier data center developer is seeking a skilled Construction Project Manager to oversee the execution of new-build and expansion projects across Northern California. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced, technical environments and can drive construction projects from groundbreaking through to commissioning and handover.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the on-site construction of mission-critical data center projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to specification
- Coordinate general contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and internal teams to maintain progress, quality, and safety
- Monitor schedule performance, cost control, and risk management throughout the construction lifecycle
- Ensure adherence to local permitting, environmental, and compliance requirements
- Collaborate closely with design, engineering, procurement, and operations teams to ensure constructability and operational readiness
- Provide regular project reporting to senior leadership and stakeholders
Requirements:
- 5–10 years of experience managing large-scale construction projects, preferably in the data center, tech, or industrial sector
- Strong understanding of MEP systems, structural works, and critical infrastructure commissioning
- Proven track record of managing contractors and delivering complex projects in live environments
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
- PMP certification or similar credentials preferred
