Science Teacher Chester, PA

Pay: From $41-$46/hr, based off experience.

Blazer Jobs is seeking a qualified Science Teacher for a full-time position in a Chester, PA school district. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to ignite curiosity and foster problem-solving skills in middle and high school students. Chester, located along the Delaware River just outside Philadelphia, offers educators a strong urban-suburban teaching experience with access to a vibrant professional community.

Requirements:

• Pennsylvania Instructional Certificate in Secondary Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or General Science)

• Bachelors degree in Science Education or related field (Masters degree preferred)

• Passing scores on required Pennsylvania educator exams (Praxis or PECT)

• Prior teaching experience preferred

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver engaging science instruction aligned with state standards

• Facilitate lab-based learning experiences and encourage inquiry-based learning

• Assess student progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse needs

• Maintain classroom safety and effective lab procedures

• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in professional development initiatives
