RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Resource Pool position allocated to Cherokee Medical Center with potential float to main campus as needed
\n• RN will know scheduled location ahead of time
\n• Patient ratios: 1:6
\n• Weekend coverage required as needed
\n• Float required within scope to meet facility needs across multiple units and campuses
\n• On-call required: 2 on-call shifts OR 2 additional shifts per 6 weeks
\n• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale
\n• Must pass arrhythmia and medication test on first day orientation
\n• Telemetry test required upon beginning of placement
\n• One chance to pass cardiac dysrhythmia test - pass/fail testing required
\n• Epic charting system experience preferred
\n• 2 years of experience preferred, will consider 1+ year on case-by-case basis
\n• Travel experience required
\n• Shaving may be required to pass fit test onsite
\n• Work with centralized telemetry monitoring with tech support
\n• Care for patients with sepsis, dementia, post-op, orthopedic, chest pain, and rule-out strokes
\n• Handle special equipment including chest tubes and wound vacs
\n• Strict attendance policy: more than two missed shifts per 13-week contract may result in cancellation
\n• All requested time off must be included on initial submission
