Job DescriptionPosition: Payroll/HR Specialist Location: Downtown Portland, OR Job Type: Direct Hire, Fully onsite, Full Time Compensation: $65,000 - $80,000 a year We have an exciting opportunity for a Payroll/HR Specialist to join our client in Downtown Portland, OR. As an ideal candidate, you should have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a combination of full cycle payroll and HR responsibilities. Responsibilities:
- Managing full cycle payroll in a team for a smaller-size company (100+)
- Maintain and verify the accuracy of all employees and payroll data within the payroll system.
- Safeguard sensitive employee information and uphold strict confidentiality standards.
- Respond to payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.
- Support year-end payroll functions, including tax filings and reporting (e.g., W-2s, union reports).
- Assist the HR department with key functions such as recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, and employee terminations.
- Perform other related duties as needed to support the payroll and HR functions.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years' experience combination of handling payroll and HR specifically in the legal or financial services industries.
- Sole payroll processing experience is preferred.
- High attention to detail with a strong commitment to accuracy and timeliness.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
