Job DescriptionProduction Machinist – CNC – up to $38 an hourSUMMARY:Set up and operate lathes, milling and grinder equipment to fabricate and assemble fill needles to a finished product. Working with various materials including stainless steel, and plastics using English and Metric systems of measurements working within tight tolerances of +/- 0.002” for a steel to plastic press fit.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Develop and execute manufacturing priorities based on the production schedule.
- Develop layout and plan for sequence of operation(s).
- Monitor control plans, troubleshoot workmanship issues, and supervise production activities to ensure manufactured products meet or exceed established quality requirements.
- Use calipers, micrometrics, mechanical and electronic gauges to verify tolerances.
- Follow operation manuals, standard operating procedures (SOP), work instructions, design documents, drawings and policies.
- Set up and operate fabricating machines such as Hardinge Lathes, drill press, saws, milling machine, surface grinders, and post grinders.
- Machine precise parts per drawings and work orders.
- Record lot numbers per product/material.
- Verify conformance of work piece to specifications.
- Clean finished product with appropriate cleaned 70% Isopropanol agent as instructed. Use non-linting or clean room wipes during cleaning.
- Check product against gauges as available.
- Produce manufacturing tools/gauges as required.
- Mindful of continuous improvement activity events to improve current operational methods.
- Clean and maintain all equipment, tools and work area.
- Perform other duties in support of department or company needs as requested.

- Responds well to questions.
- Program and run a Track Lathe is a plus.
EDUCATION:High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 4-6 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Technical schooling in machining and/or apprenticeship.Steve Kaspar
