Currently we are in search of a Translator for our Macon Georgia manufacturing facility.
Position Summary
The Bilingual Translator will provide accurate, timely translation and interpretation services to support daily operations, technical discussions, and employee communication. This role is critical in bridging language gaps between Korean- and English-speaking team members to ensure smooth processes, clear understanding of technical information, and effective cross-department collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide real-time verbal interpretation (English to Korean and Vice-Versa) during meetings, trainings, and production activities.
- Translate written documents such as SOPs, technical manuals, quality reports, HR communications, and safety materials.
- Assist Korean expatriate staff and English-speaking employees with communication to improve operational efficiency and teamwork.
- Maintain accuracy, confidentiality, and clarity in all translations.
- Support onboarding of new employees by translating training materials and assisting with orientation sessions.
- Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, and HR teams to ensure accurate understanding of technical and procedural information.
Qualifications
- Fluent in Korean and English (verbal and written).
- Previous translation or interpretation experience required; manufacturing or engineering environment preferred.
- Strong understanding of workplace terminology; ability to learn technical vocabulary quickly.
- Excellent communication, attention to detail, and cultural awareness.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing setting and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Work Environment
- On-site role within a manufacturing facility.
- Requires walking production floors and attending meetings across departments.
