Position Overview: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic home health team. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide direct patient care, implement treatment plans, monitor progress, and support patients in achieving their rehabilitation goals in a home-based setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the supervising Physical Therapist to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Deliver therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and hands-on therapy to improve patients strength, balance, and overall function.
- Educate patients and caregivers on safe, effective techniques for exercises and activities of daily living (ADLs).
- Monitor and report patient progress, updating care plans as necessary in consultation with the Physical Therapist.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with agency policies and regulatory guidelines.
- Adhere to professional, ethical, and legal standards of physical therapy practice.
- Engage in continuing education to maintain professional competency and stay current with best practices.
- Coordinate care effectively with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Associates degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Active PTA license in the state of Virginia.
- Minimum of [insert number] years of experience as a PTA; home health or rehab setting preferred.
- Strong clinical, organizational, and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

- Current CPR certification (preferred).
